Welcome to the Westway Clay Court Tennis League!
|
 |
The first round is now underway, running from Monday 4 May to Sunday 28 June, 2009
The league is open to everyone, from beginners to advanced players, though you will only play people
of a roughly similar standard. You get about five or six matches (to be played over an eight week period, at a time that
suits you), you win £20 if you win your group and a free can of balls if you complete three matches by the mid way point
of each round.
If you are free during the day, and would like to play in a daytime league, just
let us know
email: westwayclaycourttennisleague@googlemail.com
It works like this:
- It's a mixed (men and women) singles league for adults
- It’s divided into groups of about 6 players of a similar standard
- Everyone in their group plays everyone else on the clay courts at the Westway
- Matches are the best of three tie break sets (allow 2 hours per match)
- It’s up to everyone to arrange their own matches
- You get one point for every set you win
